After 30 days from date of purchase items may no longer be returned for refund or exchange but will be covered under manufacturer warranty. Please see warranty details below for each of the brands.

LOREX TERMS OF SERVICE, LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY

Lorex Corporation (“Lorex”) warrants, to the original purchaser (the “Purchaser” or “You”) only, that this Lorex branded product (the “Product”), if properly installed and used thereafter in strict accordance with the use and care guidelines provided in the instructions manual, shall be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship.

Length of Warranty

The Lorex warranty covers the Product for (2) year from the documented date of purchase. Some exceptions apply. See below ‘Warranty Period Exceptions’ section for details. The purchase date must be documented with either an original sales receipt from the first retailer selling the Product or by credit card receipts or statements.

Warranty Period Exceptions:

• To the extent product packaging and/or Lorex.com website content indicates a different warranty period, the different warranty period will apply subject to the other terms and conditions of the Lorex Terms of Service, Lorex Hardware Warranty. Additionally, longer warranty periods apply to certain products (for the applicable product list, please refer to www.lorex.com/warranty).

• Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras – moving parts such as motors, bearings etc. – six (6) Months (NOTE: The rest of the Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera components are covered for one (1) Year).

• All other components, accessories and consumables contained with the Product in the original packaging are warranted for a period of ninety (90) days from the documented date of purchase.

Lorex’s Obligations

Lorex’s obligations under this warranty are limited, at its sole option, either to:

  • Repair the Product found by Lorex to be defective; or
  • Replace parts or, in Lorex’s sole discretion, the Product if it is found by Lorex to be defective.

Products may be repaired with new or refurbished parts, and may be replaced with new or refurbished products, of the same or similar model as the replaced Product, or of materially equivalent or superior quality, at the sole discretion of Lorex. Repaired and replacement Products will be warranted to the Purchaser under the Lorex Terms of Service, Limited Hardware Warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period or ninety (90) days from the date of shipment to Purchaser, whichever is longer. Any replaced Product or part becomes the property of Lorex.

Warranty Limitations, Exclusions & Disclaimers

This warranty is invalidated if non-Lorex accessories are or have been used in connection with the Product, or if any modification or repair is made to the Product by any service depot or other person not authorized by Lorex. This warranty does not apply to defects in or damages to the Product caused by (i) negligent use of the Product,(ii) misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, repair or improper installation of the Product, (iii) electrical short circuits or transients, (iv) heat, humidity, moisture or temperatures beyond product specifications (v) use of replacement parts not supplied by Lorex (vi) improper Product maintenance, or (vii) accident, fire, flood or other Acts of God.

This warranty does not extend to firmware or software accompanying, included with, or embedded in the Lorex Products (“Software”) or mobile apps provided by Lorex for the operation of Lorex Products (“Apps”) , nor does it extend to any cloud service provided by Lorex (“Cloud Service”). Software, Cloud Service and Apps are provided “as is” and Lorex does not guarantee that they will be error-free or function without interruption.

This warranty does not cover data loss, or costs related to data recovery. Lorex makes no warranty that the software provided with the Product will function without interruption or otherwise be free of anomalies, errors or viruses. This warranty does not cover any costs relating to removal, replacement, or installation of any Product, regardless of whether the Product is found by Lorex to be defective, or software installed on the user’s computer.

Lorex reserves the right to make changes to its products without incurring any obligation to modify any product that has already been manufactured. This warranty does not cover any alteration or damage to any other software that may be or may become resident on the users system as a result of installing the software provided.

Binding Arbitration Agreement, and Class Waiver

BY KEEPING THIS PRODUCT FOR LONGER THAN 30 DAYS YOU AGREE THAT BINDING ARBITRATION SHALL BE YOUR SOLE REMEDY FOR ANY DISPUTES CONCERNING, ARISING FROM, OR RELATING IN ANY WAY TO (I) YOUR PURCHASE AND USE OF THIS PRODUCT, AND/OR (II) LOREX’S OBLIGATIONS UNDER ITS TERMS OF SERVICE AND LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY. BY KEEPING THIS PRODUCT FOR LONGER THAN 30 DAYS YOU ALSO AGREE TO WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PURSUE, OR PARTICIPATE IN, JOINT, COLLECTIVE, OR CLASS CLAIMS IN ANY FORM CONCERNING, ARISING FROM, OR RELATING IN ANY WAY TO (I) YOUR PURCHASE AND USE OF THIS PRODUCT, AND/OR (II) LOREX’S OBLIGATIONS UNDER ITS TERMS OF SERVICE AND LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY. PLEASE VISIT LOREX.COM FOR INSTRUCTIONS RELATING TO LOREX’S RETURN POLICY AND HOW YOU MAY RETURN THE PRODUCT AND REJECT THE TERMS SET FORTH ABOVE. IF YOU PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT FROM A RETAILER AND NOT DIRECTLY FROM LOREX, PLEASE CHECK THE RETAILER’S RETURN POLICY REGARDING HOW YOU MAY RETURN THE PRODUCT AND REJECT THE TERMS SET FORTH ABOVE.

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED IN THIS LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE, AND LOREX NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY PERSON TO ASSUME FOR IT ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OR SERVICE OF THE PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL LOREX BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE PRODUCT OR ARISING FROM THE MALFUNCTIONING OR NON-FUNCTIONING OF THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, FAILURE TO REALIZE SAVINGS OR OTHER BENEFITS, DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF PROPERTY, INJURIES TO OR DEATH OF ANY PERSON, AND CLAIMS AGAINST THE PURCHASER BY ANY THIRD PERSON, EVEN IF LOREX HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. LOREX DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PRODUCT OR ITS SOFTWARE, CLOUD SERVICE OR APPS WILL OPERATE WITH ANY OTHER PRODUCT OR SOFTWARE EXCEPT THAT WHICH IS INDICATED BY LOREX. LOREX IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CHARACTERISTICS OF THIRD PARTY HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE WHICH MAY AFFECT THE OPERATION OF THE LOREX SOFTWARE INCLUDED.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, LOREX DOES NOT MAKE ANY CLAIMS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER REGARDING THE PRODUCT’S POTENTIAL, ABILITY OR EFFECTIVENESS TO PREVENT, MINIMIZE, OR IN ANY WAY AFFECT PERSONAL OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR INJURY. LOREX IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS OR THEFT RELATED TO THE PRODUCT OR TO ITS USE FOR ANY HARM, WHETHER PHYSICAL OR MENTAL RELATED THERETO. ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR STATEMENTS, WHETHER WRITTEN OR VERBAL, BY SALESPEOPLE, RETAILERS, DEALERS OR DISTRIBUTORS TO THE CONTRARY ARE NOT AUTHORIZED BY LOREX, AND DO NOT AFFECT THIS PROVISION OF THIS WARRANTY. THE LOREX LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY IS VALID ONLY IF THE PRODUCT IS PURCHASED BY THE PURCHASER DIRECTLY FROM LOREX OR AN AUTHORIZED LOREX RESELLER.

  • Standard Warranty Periods do not apply to moving parts, belts, motors, fans, wiper blades, or removable flash memory in any Product.  The applicable warranty period for these items is one (1) year.

Repair or Replacement.  During the applicable warranty period, Dahua will, in its sole discretion, either (a) repair the defective Product using new or refurbished parts, or (b) provide a same-model replacement (or if discontinued and unavailable, a materially equivalent or better model).  This is Dahua’s sole and exclusive liability under this Limited Hardware Warranty, and Distributor’s sole remedy.  Repaired and replacement Products will be warranted under the terms of this Limited Hardware Warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period or ninety (90) days from the date of shipment to Dealer (or its designee), whichever is longer.  Any replaced product or part becomes Dahua’s property.

Exclusions.  This Limited Hardware Warranty is contingent upon proper warehousing, shipment, and normal use of the Product, and will not apply if (a) the original Product identification markings (trademark, serial number, or model number) have been altered, defaced, or removed; (b) the Product has been modified or altered other than by Dahua; (c) the Product was installed other than in strict accordance with the user manual instructions other than by Dahua; (d) the Product was subject to faulty repair or maintenance other than by Dahua; (e) the Product was used for a purpose for which it was not designed or intended; (f) the Product was subjected to misuse, abuse, or negligence; (g) the Product was subjected to operating conditions (e.g., atmospheric, moisture, or humidity) outside of acceptable conditions specified in the user manual; (h) the Product was subjected to electrical short circuits or transients, accident, fire, flood, or other acts of God; or (i) the Product was purchased by Distributor from a person or entity other than Dahua.   This Limited Hardware Warranty does not apply to demonstration Products and certain incentive- or specially-priced Products, all of which are sold or provided by Dahua “AS IS” without any warranty.  This Limited Hardware Warranty does not include, and Dahua does not provide, any data recovery services.  DAHUA STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT DEALERS OR END USERS BACK UP PRODUCT DATA PRIOR TO SUBMITTING ANY PRODUCT FOR WARRANTY SERVICE, AND DISTRIBUTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COMMUNCATING THIS RECOMMENDATION TO DEALERS AND END USERS.

No Software or Consumables Warranty.  This Limited Hardware Warranty does not extend to firmware or software accompanying, included with, or embedded in the Products (“Software”) or consumables, including, without limitation, fuses and batteries.  ALL SOFTWARE AND CONSUMABLES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS.” DAHUA DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR FUNCTION WITHOUT INTERRUPTION.

Hanwha Techwin America (HTA) warrants to the original purchaser that HTA’s products (the “Products”) are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase, unless a different period is otherwise expressly stated below (the “Warranty Period”). HTA’s obligation under this warranty is expressly limited to supplying replacement parts, repairing, or replacing, at its sole option, any product which HTA, in its sole judgment and discretion, determines contained a defect in materials or workmanship at the time of shipment from HTA. This warranty does not include on-site service or removal and re-installation costs. This warranty is valid only on HTA products and is subject to the limitations and exceptions listed below.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE, IS HTA’s ONLY WARRANTY, AND IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. HTA HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE IMPLIED BY LAW, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, AND OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR SPECIFIED USE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HTA, ITS SUBSIDIARIES, AND PARENTS SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCURRED BY YOU OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY HOWEVER CAUSED, WHETHER BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF HTA OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY LIABILITY (i) FOR LOST REVENUES, LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF USE, THE COST OF DATA RECOVERY FROM HARD DISK DRIVES, THE VALUE OF DATA THAT CANNOT BE RECOVERED FROM HARD DISK DRIVES, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL LOSSES OF ANY TYPE; (ii) FOR INJURY TO OR DEATH OF ANY PERSONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE PRODUCTS; AND (iii) LIABILITY WHICH YOU HAVE TO ANY OTHER PERSON, IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER SUCH LIABILITIES WOULD OTHERWISE ARISE FROM HTATUTE, NEGLIGENCE, CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE. ALL RIGHTS GRANTED TO YOU UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ARE CONDITIONED UPON AND SHALL ONLY ARISE IF THEY ARE EXERCISED IN THE MANNER DESCRIBED BELOW, AND ARE LIMITED TO THE ONE, SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, AS SPECIFIED HEREIN.

If any person or entity other than HTA repairs or replaces parts on the Products without the prior written consent of HTA, this limited warranty shall be void with respect to the part or component of the Products so repaired or replaced, and with respect to any other part or component related thereto.

For a warranty claim to be valid, you must give full and reasonable written notice to HTA of the defect within thirty (30) days of your discovery of the defect, but in no event later than the last day of the Warranty Period. On receipt of any such written notice, HTA will, as soon as reasonably practicable, cause to be repaired (or, at the sole option of HTA, have replaced) the defect(s) identified by the notice. HTA’s SOLE RESPONSIBILITY IS TO REPAIR OR REPLACE SUCH DEFECTIVE ITEMS OF WHICH HTA SHALL HAVE RECEIVED TIMELY AND PROPER NOTICE AS PROVIDED HEREIN. ALL REPAIRS PERFORMED BY HTA AND ALL REPLACEMENT OF PARTS BY HTA SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE SAME LIMITED WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN AND THE SAME DISCLAIMERS OF OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE DISCLAIMER OF ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR SPECIFIED USE AND THE DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: malfunction, defect, failure, or damage (i) caused by or resulting from impact, mishandling, tampering, or use contrary to the applicable instruction manual; (ii) arising from ordinary wear and tear, wind, fires, storm, earthquake, incorrect power line voltage, inadequate or improper lighting, adverse weather conditions or other acts of God or nature, your or operators abuse or neglect, misuse, accident or mishap; (iii) arising from shipping; (iv) arising from work, repairs or alterations performed by others than HTA; (v) routine cleaning, normal cosmetic and mechanical wear and tear; and/or (vi) parts or accessories manufactured by persons other than HTA and warranted by such persons.

Uniview products come with 3 years warranty on recorders and cameras except PTZ and thermal imaging products which come with 1 year warranty from date of purchase.
